By the grace of God, my friend is actively fighting his battle with AML as I write. Local donors were found, again by God’s grace, and amazingly, a machine that could extract his rbc and platelet needs from 1 donor was made available. His fight his far from over, but I give my heartfelt thanks to this organization for the help, esp to @neosolano for the quick response despite the distance.
Will keep you all posted and if you are physically here in Cebu, Philippines, have O- blood and would like to donate, pls msg me here. My friend would need it..

Update on my friend, LITO INSO’s condition (he has Acute Myeloid Leukemia)
WE NEED 6 DONORS! 3 for pack RBC and 3 for platelets.
we have 2 for pack RBC. 1 DONOR FOR PLATELETS (CONSIDERED BUT TO BE RECHECKED BEC OF LOW HEMOGLOBIN DURING CBC) Please help
For platelets donors, we need MALE donors who have clear, visible and prominent veins. Donor has to be PHYSICALLY PRESENT during transfusion as procedure will be done here in Cebu.

Here is how you can help thru Phi. National Red Cross:
For pack RBC, we might be needing more so for those asking outside Cebu, it is suggested that if you are sure you have O- blood, you can donate at your local Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) chapter and have them coordinate with Cebu Red Cross, number is 2539793. For PNRC chapters, here is the complete list: http://www.redcross.org.ph/chapters. Why Red Cross? Because I’m sure we are not the only ones needing this type of blood. Lito is a priority already in PNRC Cebu. If you are about to donate in PNRC, let me or his wife ara know (contact details WhatsApp number +639276333918 (fastest for text messaging), twitter- rising_avenger and FB- Ara Inso) know right away so I can alert PNRC Cebu. Storage and province-to-province transfer details might be coordinated with his wife and PNRC but I’m not sure yet how this goes.
